Goose problems are steadily escalating each year. Whether Geese are invading our parks, ponds, golf courses, or beaches there numbers continue to grow, as do the problems Geese cause. Public Goose control procedures should be practiced by everyone when visiting or using our public parks, beaches, golf courses or any other location where Canadian Geese, people and pets interact, one of the biggest contributors to our Goose control problem is all the people feeding the birds and wildlife, this will only bring in more Canadian Geese and cause more problems for the neighbouring businesses and home owners.
Not to mention there are some health risks that can be caused by Canadian Geese and there droppings like ecoli bacteria, there has even been beach closers right hear in the Hamilton harbour due to the high levels of Canadian Goose droppings in the water, golf course water hazards that are land locked with no real source of fresh water entering the hazard are at high risk of ecoli contamination, most people are unaware of the Heath HAZARD they are causing when feeding the Geese. Goose control is a growing concern but if we all did our part working in conjunction with Goose control specialists we could interact peacefully. Remember don't feed wildlife.
